Key Management Systems

Security Asset Manager

Every key on a name. SAM releases only what someone is authorised for, and records every issue and return by name and time.

The five versions of the Security Asset Manager side by side, from 8 to 96 positions
Security Asset Manager with 16 positions and control panel

Issue without assumptions.

  • Identification by card, PIN code or fingerprint
  • Every issue and return readable and reportable
  • 8 to 96 positions per cabinet, expandable to 192

What the cabinet records.

The cabinet decides who gets which key. Afterwards every action can be traced: who took what, when, and when it came back.

A user identifies themselves with a card and PIN, after which the cabinet releases the key
Identification per user Access by card, PIN code or fingerprint. Combinations are possible.
Only what is permitted Which positions are released is set per user or group. The rest stays locked.
Watertight registration Every issue and return with name and time, readable and reportable.

Locks

Every Security Asset Manager™ comes with KSI's own keys as standard. Locks hold the key firmly, cylinders are interchangeable, and the spacing between locks is generous enough for large objects and bunches of keys.

A white KSI dimple key being inserted into a lock
KSI Key Standard with every cabinet. The double-sided dimple design always fits — right way up or upside down, it goes straight in.
Keys held in the cylinders of a key panel
Direct Key Entrapment Holds a sensitive key in your own cylinder, safely stored away in the cabinet.
An interchangeable core being removed from the lock
Interchangeable Cores Move or re-key your locks whenever you like. Small and large format cores available.

Three door versions, from solid steel to transparent Lexan — matched to what the cabinet holds.

Even at three in the morning you know who has which key.

Frequently asked questions about the Security Asset Manager.

  • One cabinet runs from 8 to 96 positions, in five standard versions. If the number of keys grows, the cabinet does not have to be replaced: another goes beside it, with the same operation, the same registration and one point of management. Two cabinets side by side make up a maximum of 192 positions.

  • By card, PIN code or fingerprint as standard, and combinations of these are possible — for example card and PIN code for the sensitive positions. In total there are eight methods of identification, up to iris and facial recognition from about 50 cm away. The full overview is under Identification.

  • For every action: who took which key when, and when it was returned. Every issue and return is readable and reportable, so even months later an action can still be traced.

  • Yes. There are five methods of control, from your own server to cloud management and management through the browser. Which form suits you depends on your IT set-up; the overview is under Control.

  • You choose six elements separately: locks, doors, displays, access, identification and control. This page sets out the options for each — start at Configure.

  • At sites where accountability is required: government, healthcare, data centres and property management. Under Where SAM fits you will find the role of the cabinet in each environment.
